Porthcawl has been mine and Halli’s full time home for a little over one month now. We said goodbye to many fantastic dogs, with the new goal of using the personal skills, acquired through the past year attending an access to Psychology and Counselling skills course, to assist dog guardians in strengthening their therapeutic bond with their dog and coaching them to look at life from the perspective of a dog.

I have enjoyed getting to know the local walks down Newton beach, Rest bay and Kenfig Nature Reserve with new dogs eager for their walks, as well as meeting new dogs needing assistance with their behaviours. With the new sign writing (provided by Popin Graphics) it has spread the word and encouraged positive conversations with how I can use my skills to help in Porthcawl. I am excited in how my up coming dog training courses are going to expand the services I offer (Check out the ‘About’ section to view), and look forward to getting to know the Porthcawl locals further.

Although I have had this period to adjust to my new surroundings, on Monday I will be starting my degree. I am eager to see how this next step in Anthropology (anthrozoology) and Philosophy will impact Lifeline Dogs, and am keen to explore self development over the next 3 years.

I want to thank you for your continued support for Lifeline Dogs, and the journey that I am on in increasing my understanding to support dogs and guardians in need. It is amazing to wake up each day doing something that I love, and I cannot wait to share with you all of what I experience in the next few months.
